What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant PRN position at Bridgewater Retirement Community?
The primary responsibility of the Occupational Therapy Assistant is to provide treatment under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients improve their independence and functional abilities.
Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Administer treatment programs based on individualized plans designed by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist in developing therapy activities to each patient’s needs and capabilities
- Educate patients, caregivers, and families in therapy techniques and safety precautions
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with privacy regulations
- Participate in emergency procedures and staff in-services
- Uphold resident- centered care values, confidentiality, and teamwork
- Other duties as assigned
