ABOUT THE ROLE
Breakfast Attendants oversee all aspects of the breakfast service at a hotel. Their responsibilities include establishing and cleaning the breakfast service for guests, ensuring that the buffet remains fully stocked at all times, and responding to inquiries and complaints in a timely manner. Breakfast Attendants provide a quality dining experience for the guests by providing a safe, clean, and healthy environment through well-cooked quality food, excellent presentation, and great service. Breakfast Attendant is a server role with strong service skills and earns great tips.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds.
- Ability to process functions in the POS.
- Monday to Friday full-time position. Daily 6am to 11am.
Specific Requirements of this role:
- Set up breakfast area with food, beverages, and appropriate tableware.
- Prepare all hot and cold items according to instructions.
- Ensure all items are fresh and well-stocked, presented in an appealing manner.
- Check and control the proper storage of product, especially on all fresh produce in order to maintain a quality product.
- Put away all food items after breakfast is complete.
- Cleaning and disinfection of tables, countertops, floors, and windows after each meal service.
- Process guest checks in the POS. Complete bank drop at end of shift.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel restaurant or in a similar restaurant server role required
- Solid knowledge of food safety guidelines.
- Willingness to learn and be trained.
- Strong verbal skills and professional personality required.
