ABOUT THE ROLE

As the AM Busser/Runner, you are primarily responsible for maintaining a clean environment for the guests in the hotel restaurant. You will provide a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing, and resetting tables, ensuring the dining room is well-stocked and tidy. You will also assist our guests with refilling drinks and running food throughout the shift.

Essential Duties:

• Be able to clear and clean tables in a efficient and timely manner.
• Be able to maintain a clean and organized dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down tables, and restocking condiments and other supplies.
• Communicate effectively with servers and other dining room staff to ensure smooth operation of service.
• Be able to assist in other departments within the restaurant when needed.
• Be able to grasp, lift, carry, and move large bus trays of food, plates, utensils, and glasses weighing a maximum of 20 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
• Be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.

Specific Requirements of this role:

• Continuously clear used glasses, dishes, and silverware from the dining room tables, bar top, and lounge area, and transport them to the dishwashing area.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to dining room service.
• Set up and clean down tables between customers, including, but not limited to, folding napkins, cleaning, and placing tableware, serving water, etc.
• Monitor the floor spaces for needed sweeping, reconfiguring of furniture, spills, etc.
• Assist food servers in delivering food and drinks to guest tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience preferred.
• Proven experience in a fast-paced environment a plus.
• Proven work experience, hotel level food serving preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
