SUMMARY:
Prepare and maintain the riding surfaces of the terrain parks to ensure a quality product and a positive guest experience. Ensure safety standards are maintained, and all efforts are made to help reduce the risk of injury to terrain park users.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
  • Maintain a high level of customer service to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with guests, supervisors, and coworkers.
  • Provide knowledgeable support regarding Bridger Bowl products, services, and experiences.
  • Assist in resolving guest concerns or escalate to Managers as needed.
  • Operate equipment within the operational guidelines of the manufacturer.
  • Properly use and maintain shop tools and equipment.
  • Familiarize yourself with ski runs and terrain parks; understand their priority for slope maintenance.
  • Be aware of avalanche hazard areas and receive clearance from the Ski Patrol or Slope Maintenance Manager prior to working in those areas.
  • Perform conscientious pre- and post-operation checks on equipment.
  • Communicate vehicle status to the Vehicle Maintenance department.
  • Have a self-starter mentality and be able to work productively without supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
  • File accurate and complete shift logs.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Slope Maintenance Manager and Director of Mountain Operations.

SUPERVISION:
  • Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • Supervision Received: Works under the supervision of the Slope Maintenance Manager and Director of Mountain Operations. Receive assignments as directed, with clear expectations, available guidance, and periodic performance reviews as needed or during check-ins.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Prior snowcat experience including terrain park building and maintenance.
  • Experience in terrain park building, operations, and maintenance, including knowledge of terminology, design, and events.
  • Ability to operate snowcats for extended periods of time in adverse weather conditions.
  • Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays throughout the season.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Outdoor: Work regularly in wet, cold, rapidly changing weather conditions, requiring protective apparel and equipment to prevent exposure.
o May need to walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.
o Operates company snowcats and vehicles to ensure the best practices for operating motor vehicles safely.
  • Exposure:
o May encounter fluids, agents, and chemicals using normal, routine, and protective equipment.
o Requires operating in constantly changing winter weather conditions, ranging from very bright sunlight to low-light to night-time conditions.
PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend, lift and/or sit for extended periods of time.
  • May require moving items that weigh up to 50 lbs.
  • Involves repetitive movements while sitting and driving throughout the shift.
  • Requires long hours of physical activity, focus, and endurance to operate machinery safely.
  • Requires the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, communicate effectively with coworkers and visitors, and complete tasks independently and efficiently.
