What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOOD SERVICE JANITOR position at Bridger Bowl?
SUMMARY:
Perform janitorial and other duties necessary to maintain a housekeeping program.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Clean and disinfect restrooms and public areas multiple times daily; maintain restroom supplies for public use.
- Vacuum and clean lodges daily.
- Manage garbage disposal and ensure proper waste handling.
- Stock paper products and cleaning supplies daily.
- Monitor supply inventories and report replenishment needs.
- Shampoo carpets and wax floors as required.
- Report maintenance issues to the Facilities Department.
- Follow and support the compost, waste, and recycling collection procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Always ensure building security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISION:
- Supervision Given: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Supervision Received: Works under the supervision of the Food Service Managers. Receive assignments as directed, with clear expectations, available guidance, and periodic performance reviews as needed or during check-ins.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in janitorial work.
- Self-starter that can complete tasks and work without supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Outdoors: Regularly work in quickly changing conditions potentially requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elements and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Exposure: Are frequently exposed to contaminants, such as cleaning supplies and chemical degreasers. Are often exposed to sounds and noise levels that are distracting and uncomfortable. Sometimes work in extremely bright or inadequate lighting.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, bend or be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Be capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs.
- Learning new tasks, remembering processes, maintaining focus, communicating effectively with coworkers and visitors, and having the ability to complete tasks independently and efficiently.
