Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service at the front desk
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and returns
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide product demos when appropriate
- Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales opportunities
- Maintain merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Handle phone inquiries with professional etiquette and direct calls as needed
- Manage cash register operations including balancing drawers at shift end
- Support inventory management through stocking shelves and organizing merchandise
- Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming store environment
- Supervise junior staff or trainees when required, providing guidance on customer service standards
Qualifications
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery or retail stores
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations
- Experience with supervising or training staff is advantageous but not required
