Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. The Certified Peer Specialist will provide guidance, support, and advocacy to individuals navigating the behavioral health system, fostering hope and empowerment through shared experiences.
Duties
- Provide peer support through one-on-one mentoring and group sessions, sharing personal experiences to inspire hope and resilience.
- Assist clients in developing coping strategies and skills for crisis intervention and management.
- Facilitate access to resources, including mental health counseling, addiction counseling, and social work services.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients in setting and achieving personal goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress within EHR systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Conduct outreach activities to engage individuals who may benefit from peer support services.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Peer Specialist is required.
- Experience in behavioral health or related fields is preferred, with skills in crisis intervention and management.
