We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Selenium (Java), REST API Testing, and Agile delivery environments. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, ensuring product quality across multiple systems, and contributing to continuous quality engineering initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web-based applications.
- Create and maintain automation frameworks and scripts using Selenium with Java.
- Perform REST API testing, integration testing, and cross-system data validation.
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and end-to-end (E2E) testing.
- Collaborate with Agile teams throughout sprint cycles to ensure quality deliverables.
- Analyze requirements and user stories, identify gaps, and develop effective test scenarios.
- Track, document, and manage defects using tools such as JIRA and qTest.
- Support CI/CD processes and version control using GitLab.
- Contribute to test planning, effort estimation, reporting, and continuous process improvements.
- Explore and leverage AI-enabled testing tools to enhance testing efficiency and defect analysis.
- Mentor junior testers and support knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in Manual and Automation Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Selenium Automation using Java
- REST API Testing
- Functional, Regression, and Integration Testing
- Test Case Design and Execution
- Experience with JIRA, qTest, and defect management processes.
- Exposure to GitLab and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AI-based testing tools and automation accelerators.
- Experience within the Telecom domain.
- Familiarity with financial systems and transaction workflows.
- Experience working with cloud-based testing platforms and shared automation frameworks.
