We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Business Planner to support digital commerce and merchandise planning operations. This role will partner closely with Merchandise Planning, Buying, Finance, Consumer, and Inventory teams to drive in-season business performance, inventory optimization, forecasting accuracy, and profitability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in business planning, merchandise planning, assortment planning, demand planning, or related disciplines, with the ability to analyze trends, influence business decisions, and manage planning processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Merchandise Planning and Consumer teams to analyze and manage business performance, inventory levels, and operational changes.
- Drive in-season business planning activities, ensuring alignment between sales, inventory, and profitability objectives.
- Perform productivity analysis and support seasonal target-setting initiatives through data-driven investment recommendations.
- Influence Open-to-Buy (OTB) activities by incorporating key business performance indicators and forecasting trends.
- Develop planning scenarios and recommendations to improve forecasting accuracy and business visibility.
- Support product lifecycle management through markdown planning, promotional strategies, inventory optimization, and chase/cancel recommendations.
- Execute weekly and monthly business reporting, performance analysis, and action-oriented recommendations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive marketplace and omni-channel planning strategies.
- Support demand planning processes, planning administration, and execution of key deliverables.
- Reconcile top-down and bottom-up forecasts to ensure planning accuracy and alignment.
- Build reporting frameworks and planning tools that support business decision-making.
- Monitor inventory productivity, sales trends, and business KPIs to identify risks and opportunities.
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders through effective storytelling and data visualization.

- Strong understanding of planning processes, forecasting methodologies, and inventory management.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights.
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools.
