A company located in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Manager to join their team.
The ideal candidate will maintain effective environmental, health and safety policies aligned with company policy and procedure. Assist in training initiatives on workplace safety protocols, hazardous materials regulations, first aid procedures, CPR, OSHA standards, and environmental compliance. Manage injury reports, claim processing, and return-to-work programs in accordance with the company policy. Monitor workplace safety practices. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and On-site supervisors to foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement in occupational health and environmental health practices. Learn company’s safety program and initiates to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bi-Lingual English/Spanish is necessary to perform key job functions.
Warehousing and 3PL experience is required.
Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of safety regulations such as OSHA standards and hazardous materials regulations.
Knowledge of environmental management systems (EMS), EPA regulations, and environmental compliance requirements.
Demonstrated expertise in occupational health practices including workplace safety protocols and employee health regulatory standards.
Certifications in first aid, CPR, OSHA training programs, or related safety credentials are highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and report writing effectively.
Excellent communication skills for delivering training sessions and developing comprehensive safety documentation.
Maintain compliance standards in a production setting and implement appropriate measures.
