Income Tax Manager
Overview
The Income Tax Manager leads tax planning and compliance activities for a large, complex organization and its related entities. This role oversees tax strategy, filings, audits, and team leadership while supporting business initiatives and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all federal, state, and local tax compliance and reporting.
- Oversee all tax audits and lead tax-related projects.
- Support due diligence for acquisitions and corporate restructuring initiatives.
- Provide tax guidance for U.S. and Canadian entities.
- Manage departmental budgeting, forecasting, and productivity improvements.
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage tax team members.
- Serve as a leader and subject matter expert on U.S. and Canadian tax matters.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote
Qualifications
- 10 years of tax accounting experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Advanced degree (MST, MBA, MSA, or JD) preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Deep knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, planning, and cost analysis.
- Broad understanding of industry operations and U.S./Canadian tax law.
