The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting for assigned operating entities, support audits, and drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, while partnering closely with cross‑functional teams
What You'll Do
- Own accounting and financial reporting for assigned operating entities.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and lead month‑end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and close schedules.
- Analyze financial results and explain variances to budget and forecast.
- Participate in close meetings and communicate key performance drivers.
- Ensure timely close completion in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
- Identify opportunities to improve close efficiency and internal controls.
- Support annual audits and respond to external auditor requests.
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred/plus
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience (industry and/or public accounting)
- Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP with ability to apply guidance independently
- Experience owning the full accounting cycle for operating entities (must if in industry)
- Advanced Excel skills and large ERP system (Oracle, SAP, IFS, or similar)
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally
