Senior Accountant Location: Tampa, FL Job Type: Contract Compensation: $70000 - 100000 Hourly JobID: 2171904-NRC Description Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Tampa, FL. Responsibilities: Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements Support month-end and year-end close processes Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies Assist with internal and external audits Analyze financial data and provide insights to management Maintain and improve accounting procedures and controls Mentor junior accounting staff and support their development Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Self-driven and self-motivated, little to no guidance needed to complete tasks Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Effective communication and problem-solving skills The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
