Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Literacy Coach role based in Port Saint John, FL. The Literacy Coach will be responsible for supporting educators in implementing effective literacy instructional strategies, developing literacy-focused curriculum, and providing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices. The role includes mentoring teachers, analyzing student performance data to improve literacy outcomes, and fostering a culture of educational excellence and innovation within schools. The Literacy Coach will actively collaborate with school leadership and staff to ensure all students have access to high-quality literacy instruction.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Literacy and Education, including knowledge of best practices in literacy instruction
- Experience in Curriculum Development and implementing evidence-based educational strategies
- Proven ability in Coaching educators and fostering professional growth
- Demonstrated skills in Educational Leadership to support and guide instructional teams
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred
- Valid Florida Teaching Certification and additional certification in Reading preferred
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment
