School/Center: South Lake Elementary Location: 3755 Garden Street Titusville Job Number: 000217 School Year: 2027 FY Position: COORDINATOR-BREVARD AFTER SCH Subtitle/Areas: BEGINNING SALARY Based on classification and pay plan for Non-bargaining employees: Grade 09 $17.55 per hour This position will work a split shift each day; 6:30am - 9:00am and 12:30pm - 6:00pm. Apply By: 06/10/2026 Date Available: 07/13/2026 Status: All ApplicantsContract: 10 Month Hours/Day: 8.000 Qualifications/Certifications: SCOPE: Provide the leadership, development, and supervision necessary for a financially stable and successful childcare program EDUCATION AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years (2) successful experience in childcare or similar program.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience using common computer software applications (Microsoft Office Suite or similar); experience using basic bookkeeping principles and standard business functions or equivalent combination of training and/or experience. PREFERRED/DESIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited educational institution in Early Childhood, Elementary Education, or a related field preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/TRAINING: REQUIRED:
- Department of Children and Families Standards for Quality Afterschool Programs (SQAP-8 hours online as in-service) and Quality Self-Assessment and Improvement for Afterschool Programs (QSAI-4- hours online as in-service) or equivalent DCF-AMAP Course Achieving and Maintaining Quality Afterschool Programs-12 hours; and School Age Certification/ BAS Academy Levels I, II, and III (72 hours online) complete within 90 days of appointment.
- Preference may be given to candidates holding CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification or Vocational Child Care Training degree.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
