Career Development Support Staff- Area of Specialization Hiring and Local Staffing
Reports to: Career Development Assistant Director
Purpose of Job: Support and complete tasks to accommodate Career Development’s Departmental goals.
Beyond the area of specialization, each Support Staff team member will have the opportunity to:
- Recruit and hire new employees
- Provide services required of international staff.
- Provide services required for Shore Shoppes.
- Maintain properties.
- Prepare documents and resources as necessary.
- Support efforts for departmental special projects.
Hiring Center and Local Staffing Responsibilities:
- Greet arriving job applicants, assist with interviews and provide resources, as needed.
- Create Daily Call Log and contact applicants to arrange interviews appointments. Update Call Log and Appointment App.
- Ensure department representatives are alerted and receive documents necessary for new employee transition and onboarding.
- Ensure Appointment App. is current and document new hires and “no shows”.
- Conduct reminder calls for interview appointments and New Employee Orientation.
- Communicate with those who did not attend New Employee Orientation to reschedule.
- Ensure cleanliness of uniform storage areas and dressing rooms and uniforms are ready for each new employee.
- Prepare and maintain stock of New Hire folders specific to each department.
- Complete all New Employee Orientation preparation and assist in session, when needed.
- Assist in International Staff Orientation.
- Make badges for all new employees.
- Complete tasks necessary for the satisfactory execution of assigned Special Projects.
- Provide support for acquiring Social Security cards for international staff.
- Conduct assigned Success Checks for new employees and document information as needed.
Company Events
- Assist in planning company events initiated by the career Development Department.
- Active in implementation of events.
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
- Complete tasks necessary for the satisfactory execution of assigned Special Projects.
- Provide support and assistance with Leadership Training events.

Working Conditions
Must have a valid driver license, current liability insurance and use of an automobile during scheduled workdays.
Working environment includes exposure to inclement weather, heat and humidity.
