What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Driver position at Brett/Robinson Openings?
Minimum Skills and Abilities Required :
- Ability to drive a commercial truck/ CDL not required.
- Current valid Alabama driver’s license
- Driving record with no evidence of driving under the influence, reckless driving, excessive speeding, or other major traffic violations
- Manipulates bins weighing up to 60 pounds
- Ability to read written directions
- Ability to make traffic-related decisions while driving
- Must understand and obey all traffic laws
- Must determine course of action in the event of a breakdown of vehicle, deteriorating road conditions in poor weather or other situations where consultation with supervisor is impossible
- Possesses manual dexterity for using tools for general maintenance
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a representative of Brett/Robinson, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other employees of Brett/Robinson, owners, guests, and other members of the community
- Loads and unloads truck for deliveries to Brett/Robinson properties
- Drives delivery truck from properties to the laundry facility, delivering and picking up linens and materials
- Makes other stops as assigned
- Keeps vehicle fueled, clean and in good working condition. Reports any problems to Laundry Manager
- Keeps record of maintenance work for truck
- Reports safety hazards
- Attends departmental meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Ability to work scheduled hours, up to seven days per week. High humidity, heat, and cold are environmental factors with this position. Dress code is casual but neat.
