We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to accelerate our growth by developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic customer relationships, and driving sales across retail grocery, private label, foodservice, in-store bakery, deli, and CPG channels.
Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing high-value customer relationships across multiple sales channels. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record selling bakery, deli, prepared foods, or packaged food products into major grocery retailers, distributors, foodservice operators, and private label programs.
This role requires a hunter mentality, strong industry relationships, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles with category managers, bakery directors, deli directors, procurement teams, and executive decision-makers.

Experience
- 5–10 years of successful sales experience within the bakery, deli, prepared foods, foodservice, private label, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries.
- Proven experience calling on national and regional grocery retailers, club stores, and mass merchants.
- Established relationships with retailers such as H-E-B, Kroger, Publix, Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's, Wegmans, Sprouts, Costco, Sam's Club, Target, and other major regional and national chains.
- Experience developing and managing private label, co-manufacturing, or branded CPG programs.
- Experience working with In-Store Bakery (ISB), In-Store Deli (ISD), Prepared Foods, and Category Management teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing relationships with key retail buyers, bakery directors, deli directors, category managers, and procurement leaders.
- Experience working with foodservice distributors and regional foodservice operators.
- Sales forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning experience.
- Experience launching new products and securing retail distribution.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute strategic growth plans for assigned regions and key accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail grocery, foodservice, private label, and distributor partners.
- Drive new business development initiatives and expand existing customer relationships.
- Lead all sales activities within your territory while partnering closely with Operations, Product Development, Customer Service, and Executive Leadership.
- Develop accurate sales forecasts, revenue plans, and growth strategies to achieve company objectives.
- Manage customer-specific promotional plans, pricing strategies, and volume forecasts.
- Present new products, category insights, and business reviews to retail buyers and decision-makers.
- Utilize consumer insights, category trends, and market data to identify growth opportunities.
- Seek out and secure new private label, branded, and co-manufacturing opportunities.
- Ensure exceptional execution through effective collaboration with brokers, distributors, and internal teams.
- Represent Bread Man Baking Co. at industry trade shows, customer meetings, and networking events.
- Serve as a brand ambassador for Bread Man Baking Co. and help drive awareness of our artisan baking capabilities across the marketplace.
Travel Requirements
- Ability to travel throughout assigned territories and nationally as needed (approximately 40–60% travel, including occasional overnight travel).
