What You'll Do
As a Light Crew Foreman, you'll lead crews performing transmission line construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead transmission line construction, maintenance, and repair activities on energized and de-energized equipment.
- Replace poles, crossarms, insulators, and conductors, and perform repairs identified through infrared inspection programs.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, Cooperative safety rules, and proper operating procedures.
- Mentor, train, and develop line crew personnel in technical skills, safety, and efficient work practices.
- Monitor work activities, identify hazards, and ensure crews perform work safely around energized facilities.
- Operate and oversee the safe use of line construction and maintenance equipment.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and work plans.
- Support substation construction and maintenance, including transformer installations and mobile substation deployment during planned work and emergencies.
- Perform switching, sectionalizing, and Patrolman duties as assigned.
- Coordinate work schedules with the District Manager and complete daily reports, material tracking, and administrative responsibilities.What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of progressively responsible transmission line experience, including experience as a Journeyman Lineman, Senior Lineman, or Patrolman.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, or the ability to maintain one.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to train, coach, and motivate crews while maintaining a strong safety culture.Why Join Brazos Electric?
