What are the responsibilities and job description for the Survey Manager position at Brayman Construction?
Brayman Construction Corporation is currently seeking Survey Manager who is experienced in construction survey & layout of bridges, dams, highway, foundation, geotechnical, industrial and other related heavy civil projects, work on large, complex federally funded work a plus.
The position will be based out of our Saxonburg Corporate Headquarters but work will be spent 50% of the time on projects working with staff or assignments and remainder of the time planning, preparing and troubleshooting current work from the office.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees Supervisors, Lead surveyors, surveyors, and survey drafters/helpers
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITES:
- Oversee all survey requirements for the organization
- Provide actual project surveying and layout when required or needed
- Oversee the assignment of all surveyors within the company along with their development
- Evaluate new survey talent
- Assign specific survey related computer based needs to internally shared technical staff and confirm required outcomes
- Ensure the company survey equipment is up to date, serviced regularly and maintained
- Research new survey technologies that may be beneficial to the company
- Direct any outside survey services utilized
- Propose and manage a yearly budget to upgrade and maintain all survey equipment and software
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- 10 years of experience
- Professional Survey Licensure is encouraged but not a requirement
- Experience and comprehensive understanding of GPS based survey development and layout
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Electronic Survey Equipment Software (Trimble Systems)
- Robotic machine control survey knowledge
