Role Description
Bray & Co is looking for a Creative Director, a leader who knows the rules of advertising and knows when to break them. Someone who can take a brief, light it on fire, and build something brilliant from the ashes.
We’re not just looking for an art director. We’re looking for a cultural architect. A visual storyteller. A creative that believes in making work that truly moves people. We do need someone who comes from an art direction background as there is a hands on element - as much as we love ideation, and that's incredibly valued and important, there is a hands on element in any small agency.
Creative Craft & Art Direction
- 8 years of experience in art direction, with a strong portfolio of campaign work that lives across channels
- Demonstrated ability to create breakthrough ideas that are both emotionally resonant and strategically sharp
- Expert in concepting and storytelling
- Proven ability to lead integrated campaigns, from insight to execution, across social, digital, film, OOH, and emerging platforms
- Strong understanding of brand building, not just one-offs or content churn
- Experience in pitching, presenting, and defending bold ideas to clients and collaborators alike
Cultural Curiosity
- Deep interest in culture, design, art, music, fashion, and subculture, and how they intersect with brand storytelling
- A track record (or hunger) for work that sometimes doesn’t look like advertising, but feels like it belongs in culture
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and making creative that earns attention, not interrupts it.
