Commercial concrete and masonry construction company seeking an experienced Shop Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, trailers, small equipment, and heavy construction equipment and machinery. You will be working at our headquarters in Clarence Center, NY.
This is a full-time permanent position with steady year-round work and lots of availability for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair gas and diesel powered trucks and construction equipment/machinery (i.e. work trucks, Ford, Mack, Kenworth, forklifts, teleskids, excavators, dozers, etc)
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections (oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, etc)
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic failures
- Maintain and repair concrete and masonry specialty construction equipment
- Operate service truck for in-field repairs
- Maintain a safe and organized shop environment along with inventory of parts and documentation management
Qualifications
- 3 years of mechanic experience
- Experience working on gas, diesel, and hydraulic equipment
- Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Ford Tech experience preferred
- Commercial Driver License (CDL) preferred but not required
- Welding experience a plus
- NYS Inspection License preferred

Pay: $25.00 - $39.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
