Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Operations Manager to oversee healthcare operations, manage teams, support process improvement initiatives, and coordinate patient flow and emergency response activities. The ideal candidate will have strong healthcare operations experience, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as the unit manager and oversee Medical Operations Center (MOCC) operations.
- Manage employee scheduling, timecards, onboarding, and access requirements.
- Plan and lead the work of multiple staff members with varying responsibilities.
- Participate in a rotating leader-on-duty call schedule.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support healthcare operations.
- Develop, implement, and present process improvement initiatives and expansion plans.
- Assess community and organizational needs and coordinate resources to address operational goals.
- Work with stakeholder groups to define, analyze, and document processes to improve efficiency.
- Supervise staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance feedback, evaluations, payroll coordination, and disciplinary processes.
- Develop, modify, and execute operational policies and procedures.
- Establish priorities, evaluate results, and implement process improvements as needed.
- Manage operational resources and develop standards to support effective team performance.
- Serve as a representative for senior leadership when required.
- Act as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders and operational partners.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare operations, patient transfers, patient placement, or healthcare emergency response.
- Minimum of 2 years of managerial experience leading teams of 5 or more employees.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience with interfacility transportation coordination.
- Experience managing healthcare command centers, transfer centers, or patient flow operations preferred.
