What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Associate position at Brandt, Inc?
Summary/Objective
The Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for all accounts payable functions for Agronomics Services. This position will report to the Accounting Manager and work closely with others in the accounting department.
Essential Functions
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to processing
- Entering and uploading invoices into the accounting system
- Processing invoices and checks in an accurate and timely manner
- Communicating with vendors regarding payment status, invoice requests and inquiries as needed
- Reconcile and process freight invoices
- Research and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues
- Assist with month-end closing
- Providing supporting documentation for audits
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
Professional office environment. This position requires competency in using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
Classification/Expected Hours of Employment
This position is a full-time position and is exempt from minimum wage and overtime pay requirements under federal and all applicable state or local laws. Days and hours of work are generally 8:00am to 5:00pm, with some extended hours needed as seasonal demands may vary.

This position does not require any travel.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 or more years of accounting related experience
- Intermediate computer and software skills required.
