Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates (BCH) is actively seeking a strategic and results-driven Managing Director of Employee Benefits to lead and elevate our growing Agency.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, growth, and operational excellence of the Employee Benefits department. You’ll lead client strategy, carrier relationships, team development, and overall service delivery for employer-sponsored benefit programs — playing a critical role in client retention, new business development, and ensuring BCH continues to deliver customized, forward-thinking solutions.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Employee Benefits team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute the growth strategy for the Employee Benefits practice
- Oversee recruitment, development, performance, and retention of Benefits Advisors
- Manage day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring efficiency and high-quality service delivery
- Provide thought leadership on industry trends, compliance updates, and emerging benefit solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and vendor partners
- Stays current on market trends, new products and vendor capabilities.
- Partner with clients and/or the Employee Benefits team members to develop multi-year benefits strategies that align with the client’s business goals and employee needs.
- Identify resources to education, implement and maintain client facing employee benefits compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiate across the employee benefits department.
- Participates in finalist presentations, RFT response, and strategic prospecting efforts
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and cross-sell services
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Oversee benefits communication strategies and implementation of plan changes
- Directs, monitors, and implements Agency processes and procedures relating to the placement of Benefits programs and use of Agency systems.
- Monitors and audits the proper use of Agency policies and procedures as it relates to BCH systems including, but not limited to Benefit Point, Outlook, Employee Navigator and ImageRight.
- Conducts a minimum of one client meeting, and one account specific carrier meeting with a Benefits Advisor or Service Account Manager, quarterly.
- Resolves account challenges using integrity driven by strategic negotiation.
- Manage departmental budget, forecasting, and carrier production results
- Resolve complex client and account challenges through strategic negotiation
- Represent the agency at industry events, carrier meetings, and networking opportunities
Education and Experience
- 8–10 years of Employee Benefits experience within a brokerage or consulting environment
- 3–5 years of leadership or management experience
- Strong knowledge of group benefits plans, funding mechanisms, compliance regulations, and market trends
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver strategic solutions
- Experience developing and leading high-performing teams
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
- Active Life & Health license (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is highly
Required Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of the commercial Employee Benefits marketplace, including products, funding strategies, and market trends
- Knowledge of Employee Benefits marketing strategies and best practices for account management
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to employee benefits
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to think strategically
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, carriers, and internal teams
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex client needs
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
