Maintenance Technician $2,500 Hire Bonus (50% at 30 days, 50% at 90 days)
We operate a 100,000 sq. ft. precision machining and manufacturing facility across two nearby sites, and we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep both running. This is a hands-on role with real ownership — you'll handle everything from CNC machine repair to HVAC, electrical systems, and facility upkeep, with the urgency and judgment to minimize downtime and support production.
What You'll Do
Equipment & Preventive Maintenance
Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on CNC machinery, screw machines, compressors, chillers, pumps, and other facility equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems: motors, relays, PLCs, VFDs, control panels, and lighting
Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and HVAC systems including diagnostics and seasonal servicing
Execute and document PM routines; monitor equipment health to catch issues before they become breakdowns
Help develop and refine PM checklists and logs
Facility & Safety
Handle general building maintenance: plumbing, minor carpentry, lighting, and grounds
Support equipment installations, moves, and facility upgrades across both sites
Maintain 5S standards in all maintenance areas
Follow all safety protocols — LOTO, PPE, confined space, and electrical safety — and proactively identify hazards
Participate in safety audits and emergency preparedness drills
Team & Communication
Coordinate with production, engineering, and quality to prioritize and resolve maintenance issues
Keep work orders current and communicate clear timelines
Mentor junior technicians or temporary staff as needed
What You Bring
Required:
3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a machining or manufacturing environment
Solid background in CNC machine repair (mills, lathes, screw machines)
Working knowledge of facility electrical, HVAC, and basic plumbing
Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals
Valid driver's license — travel between the two sites is required
Your own basic tool set
Preferred:
Experience with a CMMS platform
EPA Section 608 HVAC certification
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; comfortable standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods in a typical industrial environment (heat, cold, noise).
