Job Summary
Supports the overall daily operations of the designated Site with primary responsibility for safe, consistent program and service delivery; staff/volunteer support; facilities readiness; community relations; and membership administration. Serves as the lead staff person on duty during assigned shifts and helps ensure smooth operations, consistent expectations, and positive member engagement.
Environment/Working Conditions
Site Supervisors have a high level of exposure to the public, with an emphasis on children, families, and community partners. Afternoon and evening hours are required; occasional weekends may be required for events or special programs. This role requires active supervision and frequent movement throughout the facility, including standing and walking for extended periods. Must be able to respond quickly to safety, behavioral, or operational concerns, and occasionally lift/move program supplies (up to approximately 25 lbs.). Work is performed in a fast-paced youth program environment with moderate noise and activity levels.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
· Serve as the lead staff person on duty during assigned shifts; oversee site operations by coordinating daily flow, room coverage, set-up/clean-up, and staff/volunteer support to ensure programming runs smoothly.
· Coordinate transportation operations by scheduling/staffing van drivers, confirming routes/coverage, communicating day-of changes, and ensuring transportation procedures, documentation, and reporting requirements are followed.
· Maintain continuous, active supervision of members to ensure safety and well-being by upholding required ratios and line-of-sight monitoring, reinforcing site expectations, and applying behavior support and de-escalation strategies as needed.
· Respond to incidents, injuries, and conflicts; communicate appropriately with parents/guardians as needed and document/report situations according to Club procedures.
· Supervise and support Youth Development Professionals (YDPs), Program Assistants, Interns, and Volunteers as assigned; provide direction, coaching, and shift coverage guidance, and report performance or operational concerns to the Director of Operations & Programming.
· Ensure daily attendance, sign-in/out, and required documentation are completed accurately and on time; complete required weekly program/activity reports.
· Ensure required programming is implemented each week; support planning and facilitation of activities, events, and services aligned with Club standards and goals.
· Ensure supplies and materials are available for daily activities and communicate supply/facility needs promptly
· Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize the guidance and discipline plan and use positive reinforcement.
· Establish a rapport and communicate respectfully with members and families; serve as a positive role model and demonstrate leadership skills.
· Support ongoing recruitment and retention of Club members.
· Follow Club policies and procedures, including safety protocols, confidentiality, and mandatory reporting requirements.
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Experience:
