Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Eugene, OR, as a Youth Development Professional. The role involves planning and implementing engaging activities that promote positive youth development, providing mentorship to members, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising youth, facilitating educational and recreational programs, building positive relationships with members and their families, and ensuring program activities align with organizational goals.
Seasonal summer positions are available, with morning and afternoon shifts at our Eugene and Bethel Clubhouses. Availability through August 21, 2026 is required for summer roles.
Status: Part-time, 15 to 25 hours per week
School Year: Monday through Friday, 2:00pm to 6:30pm
Summer: Monday through Friday, shifts scheduled between 7:30am and 6:00pm
Benefits: Sick time, holiday pay
Rate of Pay: $16.00 to $17.50 per hour
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience and knowledge in Positive Youth Development and Youth Development practices
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with youth, families, and staff
- Experience or background in Education, training, or youth programming
- Ability to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all youth
- Passion for working with young people and fostering their growth and development
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire is a plus

Primary Responsibilities
Member Safety and Supervision
- Maintain a safe environment by following and enforcing all Club safety policies
- Set clear expectations and hold members accountable for behavior
- Supervise youth at all times, including transitions between activities
Relationship Building
- Build positive, supportive relationships with members
- Model Club values of respect, responsibility, and integrity
- Provide mentorship and guidance to support youth development
Program Implementation
- Plan and lead daily activities and weekly programs
- Deliver engaging, high-quality sessions using BGCA best practices
- Support youth development in academic success, leadership, and healthy lifestyles
- Create a fun, inclusive, and engaging environment
Facility & Cleanliness
- Maintain clean, organized program spaces
- Support daily cleaning tasks and shared responsibility for Club upkeep
Salary : $16 - $18
