The Boys & Girls Club of the Umpqua Valley is seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to join our team as a Teen Art Studio Coordinator. This part time position works directly with youth in 6th through 12th grade, creating engaging experiences that foster creativity, leadership, character development, and positive relationships.
The Teen Art Studio Coordinator plans and leads activities in fine arts, digital arts, and crafts while helping create a safe, welcoming environment where teens can explore their interests, build new skills, and develop meaningful connections.
Schedule: 21 hours per week
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 1:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assess the interests and needs of teen members and develop engaging programs that reflect those interests.
- Plan and facilitate daily educational, recreational, character development, and social activities focused on fine arts, digital arts, and crafts.
- Promote programs and provide members with a monthly calendar of activities.
- Build positive relationships with members while encouraging creativity, leadership, and personal growth.
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all youth.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism, and a commitment to quality youth development.
- Maintain assigned program spaces, equipment, and supplies.
- Prepare weekly program reports, program outlines, and monthly participation summaries for the Teen Director, including Member of the Month information.
- Attend required staff meetings and training sessions.
- Arrive on time and in uniform for all scheduled shifts.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a positive attitude and a passion for working with youth.
- Enjoy creating and leading engaging art based activities.
- Possess strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Work well independently and as part of a team.
- Be 20 years of age or older.
- Successfully pass a criminal history background check and pre employment drug screen.
Experience planning and implementing youth programs, arts education, or teen programming is preferred.

Pay Rate: $15.91-$18.00 /hour DOE
Monday, Thursday, Friday 2:30-6:30pm, 2:00-6:30pm on Tuesdays, 1:30-6:30 on Wednesdays, occasional extended hours for teen events.
