Seasonal Summer Camp Director (Lindsey Center)

Position Title: Seasonal Camp Director 
Organization: Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Georgia (BGCCG) 
Employment Type: Seasonal / Temporary 
Onboarding & Training: Required, paid onboarding in May 
Camp Dates: June 1 – July 17 
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday 
Location: Assigned Lindsey Center

Position Overview 

• Lead and manage daily summer camp operations at a BGCCG site 

• Begin employment with paid onboarding and training in May 

• Assume full responsibility for camp operations during the summer program 

• Ensure a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for all youth 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee daily camp programming and schedules 

• Supervise, coach, and support seasonal camp staff 

• Ensure youth safety and enforce BGCCG child safety policies 

• Monitor attendance, behavior management, and supervision ratios 

• Complete incident reports and required documentation 

• Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and guardians 

• Coordinate meals, activities, and site logistics 

• Communicate regularly with BGCCG leadership 

Qualifications 

• Minimum age of 21 

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 

• 2–3 years of experience working with youth in a camp, school, or out-of-school setting 

• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred 

• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain prior to camp start) 

• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and child safety clearances
