What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Counselor - Part Time Seasonal Position Summer 2026 position at Reynolds Lake Oconee?
Seasonal/temporary position from May to early August. Flexible hours
Responsibilities:
- Supervises children in planned camp activities.
- Carries out the policies and rules of Adventure Camp.
- Creates policies and procedures for the implementation of the assigned programs, activities and week-long schedules for and attendees.
- Responsible for the cleanliness, care and safety of all related areas.
- Assists Recreation Program Manager with special projects including Family Programming.
Qualifications:
- CPR/AED certified (can obtain upon hire).
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience working with children in a camp or recreation setting preferred.
- Students pursuing a Recreation or related degree preferred.
- Sound physical condition to be able to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.
- Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Current lifeguard certification preferred, but not required.
