Big Sky Resort is looking for a self-starter who enjoys working with their hands and is eager to learn. This is a seasonal summer position, but for the right candidate, it has the potential to become a full-time, year-round role within our Lift Maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in ski lift mechanics while assisting in preparing, maintaining, and fine-tuning lifts for the winter season.
Responsibilities
- Be an active part of the Lift Maintenance team, following direction and assisting experienced mechanics with inspections, repairs, and upkeep of aerial and surface lifts.
- Stand and sit for long periods, work at variable heights (15-70 ft above ground), use ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, especially in high-stress situations, and contribute to a productive work environment with all resort staff.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a lift operator is preferred
- Valid Driver's License is required
- Must enjoy working outdoors and in variable weather conditions
