Bowser Geospatial (SDVOSB, ESRI partner) is hiring a GIS Production Specialist for a federal GIS Service Center in Sacramento supporting the Bureau of Reclamation's California-Great Basin Region.
You'll be the quality and production backbone of the team: managing workflows, enterprise geodatabase maintenance, data backups, and final QC/release of maps, databases, and reports.
What you'll do:
- Implement quality control procedures; review and release final products
- Perform mapping and database management across a wide range of water, lands, and environmental projects
- Create schemas and workflow procedures for enterprise operations
- Coordinate with hardware/software vendors; manage data collection technologies (Field Maps, GPS)
- Support user/project setup, accounting, and security alongside the Service Center Manager
Required:
- BA/BS in Geography, Natural Resources, Earth Sciences, Engineering, or Computer Science — OR equivalent work experience
- 3 years of Python, Arcade, and/or ModelBuilder
- Working knowledge of the ArcGIS suite including ArcGIS Pro and Spatial Analyst
- Demonstrated cartography and map production skills
- Ability to work onsite in Sacramento every workday and pass a federal background check (NAC/PIV); U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency required
Preferred:
- ArcGIS Server / enterprise geodatabase (SDE) configuration; ArcGIS Online administration
- Recent ESRI coursework (ArcGIS Pro, Building Geodatabases, cartographic production, 3D, Field Maps workflows)
