Senior Systems Engineer (MSP) - Long Island (Local Only)
Location: Smithtown HQ client sites across Long Island (no NYC commute)
Comp: $100,000–$115,000 bonuses
Must have MSP experience - no exceptions
Must live on Long Island - local candidates only

What you’ll do
- Be the technical lead for infrastructure incidents, outages, and root-cause analysis.
- Own SLAs and communicate clearly with clients from first response to resolution.
- Coach Tier 1–2 engineers; curate tickets and guide technical decision-making.
- Drive incident management: status updates, client communications, and post-mortems.
- Deliver hands-on expertise across storage, virtualization, and Windows Server.
- Monitor environments with enterprise tools; perform proactive and reactive IR.
- Automate repeatable tasks (PowerShell/scripts) to speed delivery and reduce noise.
- Participate in a reasonable after-hours on-call rotation.
What you bring
- MSP background (Tier 3) handling mixed environments and on-site work.
- Windows Server, VMware/virtualization, AD/Group Policy; solid networking fundamentals.
- Microsoft 365/Azure administration; ticketing/PSA/RMM (ConnectWise or similar).
- Strong customer presence, clear written/verbal comms, and ownership mindset.
- Valid driver’s license; comfortable traveling to client sites across Long Island.
- Nice-to-haves: CompTIA/ Microsoft/Azure/VMware certs; scripting with PowerShell.
