Network Administrator / Security Compliance Engineer (MSP/MSSP)

We are a fast-growing Cybersecurity & Managed Services Provider with a well-established compliance practice supporting Aerospace & Defense clients. With strong growth, a solid reputation in CMMC / NIST / DFARS, and a team of ~50 employees, this is a place where engineers get real exposure—not just tickets.
We’re hiring at two levels depending on experience:
- L1.5 / Junior (Springfield, VA – onsite) → $65K range
- Tier 2.5 / Senior (DMV – remote) → up to $110K
If you have MSP or MSSP experience, this is a strong opportunity to grow into security compliance while working across real client environments.
What You’ll Do (Senior / Tier 2.5)
- Act as an escalation point for complex networking and systems issues
- Manage and optimize network environments (firewalls, DNS, routing, performance)
- Support Microsoft infrastructure Fortinet/FortiGate environments
- Lead projects such as migrations, firewall deployments, and CMMC audits
- Maintain clean documentation (network diagrams, SOPs, client-facing docs)
- Work directly with clients as a trusted technical resource
What You’ll Do (L1.5 / Junior)
- Answer and troubleshoot escalated tickets across systems and networking
- Support Intune, M365, and basic firewall/network configurations
- Assist with compliance-related tasks (CMMC, NIST) — training provided
- Work closely with senior engineers on projects and client environments
- Build technical depth across both systems and networking
What We’re Looking For
- MSP or MSSP experience required
- Strong troubleshooting across Windows, Microsoft 365, and networking
- Exposure to firewalls (Fortinet/FortiGate is a plus)
- Interest or experience in CMMC / NIST / security compliance
- Organized, process-driven, and client-focused
For Senior Level:
- 3–5 years of Tier 2 MSP experience
- Comfortable handling escalations and leading projects
For L1.5 Level:
- ~1–2 years of MSP experience
- Exposure to ticketing environments and basic networking/sysadmin work
- Interest in growing into security/compliance
Environment & Projects
- 80% escalations / 20% project work
- Hybrid environments (Windows Server 2016 , cloud on-prem)
- Projects include migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and security audits
