Salary

$25/hour for training and $30/hour for spill response.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Oil Spill Response Specialist to join our team on an as-needed basis. The successful candidate will provide general land-based oil spill response labor or equipment operations support as assigned.

The Oil Spill Response Specialist may be called upon to participate in spill response drills and exercises to maintain client compliance.

This is an on-call position, with flexible scheduling to match your availability. You will work predominantly outdoors, often in Arctic environments with low temperatures, high winds, icing, and moisture.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to learn oil spill response tactics for Arctic environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be able to successfully complete a 40-hour HAZWOPER course and annual 8-hour refresher course.
• Must be able to read and write the English language.
