Duties
- Prepare ingredients through proper food handling, slicing, dicing, and portioning using knife skills and slicing techniques to ensure consistency and quality.
- Follow recipes precisely to maintain menu adherence and ensure the integrity of each dish prepared.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
- Assist in meal preparation for service, including plating and garnishing dishes according to established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment by adhering to food safety management practices and safety standards in production.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and ensure timely service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or dietary departments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is essential.
- Experience with dietary aide responsibilities or menu planning is a plus.
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating kitchen equipment are required.
