Solutions Architect/ Sales Engineer

They partner directly with major federal agencies to modernize legacy systems, drive powerful AI-powered transformation, and build technology that genuinely matters. The Solutions Architect / Sales Engineer owns technical solution strategy across high stakes capture pursuits, proposals, and client engagements. This person will shape architecture decisions, craft compelling technical narratives, support deal pursuits, and guide customers through complex transformation journeys. Sr. Solutions Architect / Principal Solutions Architect Responsibilities

• Lead architecture design and technical strategy for federal capture and proposal efforts
• Own RFP/RFI responses, technical narratives, and solution design documentation
• Meet with customer technology leaders to assess needs, triage issues, and define roadmaps
• Build compelling solution stories that translate complex AI/ML, cloud, and data concepts into clear business value
• Make technology stack and architectural recommendations for proposed engagements
• Collaborate across growth, capture, R&D, and engineering teams to craft winning bid strategies
• Present final solutions and proposals to BD, internal stakeholders, and government clients
• Oversee proof-of-concept development and resourcing requirements
• Manage high-stakes deadlines and competing priorities confidently and independently
• Represent Commence AI externally with credibility, clarity, and confidence
  
  

Sr. Solutions Architect / Principal Solutions Architect Requirements

• 7 years of experience in technical solution strategy and capture/proposal support for federal agencies
• Proven experience supporting government technical bids, RFP/RFI responses, and proposal development
• Strong background in AWS cloud, full-stack architecture, and enterprise systems
• Hands-on experience with AI, ML, MIL-based solutions, and secure system design
• Ability to produce exceptional written proposals, visual storyboards, and executive-level presentations
• Proficiency with Figma or Mural to visually architect solutions
• Experience building and presenting proofs of concept
• Skilled in stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and fast decision-making
• Full-stack knowledge
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Salesforce experience preferred
• Databricks preferred
