Insurance Defense Attorney Responsibilities
- Meet the annual requirement of 1900 billable hours
- Prepare motions for summary judgment
- Engage in heavy litigation for most cases
- Collaborate closely with a partner on each case
- Draft initial answers, discovery requests, and responses
- Handle dispositive motions
- Conduct depositions of fact witnesses or plaintiffs
- Navigate case resolutions, with 90-95% settling before trial
- 3-5 years of experience as an associate civil litigation attorney with a focus on insurance defense
- Barred to practice in Georgia
- Flexibility in work hours is preferred
- Experience with litigation and case management is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team is preferred
- Fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance after 30 days
