Estimator

Position Title: Estimator

The Estimator will play a crucial role in leading custom window treatment projects from estimation to installation. This position requires effective coordination with clients, suppliers, and the installation team to ensure the delivery of high-quality window covering solutions. The ideal candidate will possess project management skills, basic construction knowledge, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing multiple projects, requiring a high level of organization and attention to detail. The Estimator will also supervise a junior estimator, ensuring smooth project execution and adherence to schedules.

Estimator Responsibilities

• Review contracts and specifications
• Read blueprints and plans
• Conduct takeoffs and prepare RFIs
• Develop and present proposals to General Contractors
• Coordinate project schedules and ensure timely material orders
• Visit job sites to assess conditions and oversee installations
• Manage and mentor a junior estimator
• Engage in light business development activities
• Maintain and build relationships with clients
• Ensure project details are organized and on track
  
  

Estimator Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience with project management exposure
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications
• Proficiency in takeoffs and estimating processes
• Familiarity with contracts and proposal preparation
• Strong project coordination skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas
• Experience with window treatments, particularly in commercial settings, is preferred
• Supervisory experience is preferred
