Estimator Responsibilities
- Review contracts and specifications
- Read blueprints and plans
- Conduct takeoffs and prepare RFIs
- Develop and present proposals to General Contractors
- Coordinate project schedules and ensure timely material orders
- Visit job sites to assess conditions and oversee installations
- Manage and mentor a junior estimator
- Engage in light business development activities
- Maintain and build relationships with clients
- Ensure project details are organized and on track
- Minimum of 2 years of estimating experience with project management exposure
- Ability to read blueprints and specifications
- Proficiency in takeoffs and estimating processes
- Familiarity with contracts and proposal preparation
- Strong project coordination skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including formulas
- Experience with window treatments, particularly in commercial settings, is preferred
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Two weeks of paid time off, increasing to three weeks after five years
