Baltimore General Liability Attorney Responsibilities
- Handle cases from inception to post-trial
- Communicate with clients to keep them updated on case statuses
- Prepare pleadings, motions, and litigation documents
- Conduct discovery and respond to discovery requests
- Perform legal research as necessary for each case
- Attend court appearances and mediations
- Work collaboratively with partners, attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
- Conduct direct and cross-examinations of expert witnesses at trial
- Manage assigned matters with oversight
- 5 years of general liability experience
- Defense experience is preferred, but plaintiff experience will be considered
- Experience in taking and defending depositions for candidates with 3 years of experience
- Proficiency in discovery
- Experience in pleadings and motions
- Trial experience is preferred
- Must be barred in the state
- Flexibility and willingness to learn are essential
- Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills are preferred
