Accounting Manager Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the accounting team, including an Admin Assistant, Payroll Admin, and two Accounts Payable Clerks
- Manage administrative tasks, HR functions, and payroll operations
- Ensure compliance with OCIP programs and prepare necessary documentation for audits
- Oversee accounts payable, bank statement reconciliations, and credit card reconciliations
- Compile management reports and prepare work papers for annual audits
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as payroll for salaried employees
- Provide support for workers' compensation issues and maintain employee benefit reminders
- Occasionally travel to various locations as required
- At least 10 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including 5 years in a managerial role
- Experience with certified payroll, job costing, and preliminary lien
- Construction industry experience is required
- HR experience related to workers' compensation and onboarding
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel at an intermediate level
- A BA degree is preferred
