Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Front Desk Dental Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our dental practice. Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
- Manage a multi-line phone system, schedule appointments, confirm visits, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
- Maintain and update patient records accurately, including data entry and insurance information, while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling to optimize the daily schedule for providers and minimize patient wait times.
- Assist patients with basic questions regarding treatment plans, payments, and office policies.
- Support office operations such as filing, scanning, mail distribution, and maintaining organized records.
- Monitor front desk supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Communicate effectively with dental assistants, hygienists, and dentists to support efficient patient flow.
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist, preferably in a dental or medical office, is strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, calm, and professional demeanor.
- Strong phone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple calls and tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with computers and office software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace); experience with dental practice management software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Bilingual skills are a plus and highly valued.
- Familiarity with appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and basic billing is advantageous.
