Position Summary
The Houseman / Banquet Set is responsible for preparing and maintaining banquet and event spaces throughout the club. This role ensures that rooms are properly set up according to event plans, kept clean and organized, and ready for guests at all times.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down banquet rooms and event spaces based on event specifications (tables, chairs, linens, staging, AV equipment, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all event areas, hallways, and storage spaces
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
- Assist the Banquet Captain and Events team to ensure timely and accurate setups
- Respond to guest and member needs courteously and promptly
- Perform light maintenance or cleaning tasks as needed
- Follow all safety guidelines and proper lifting procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in event setup, housekeeping, or facility maintenance preferred but not required — training provided
- Must be able to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean, professional environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
