Job Title: Banquet Setup Attendant
Reports to: Assistant Banquets Manager/Banquets Director
Rate: $20/hr (Full-time rate) & $18/hr (Part-time rate)
Timeframe: We are hiring full-time and part-time candidates and the schedules will vary. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Schedules are driven by events and built with the input of the Banquets Director.

Job Summary:
- This position is responsible for preparing event spaces according to member and client specifications and ensuring all setups are completed in a timely/efficient manner. This role supports the smooth execution of events by arranging tables, chairs, linens, and equipment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Set-up banquet rooms and additional areas according to the direction of the Banquet Setup team. Areas will include anything within the clubhouse or on the grounds within Medinah’s property.
- Maintains overall appearance of those areas within Medinah’s grounds.
- Assists in setting up buffets required for member dining events and services.
- Maintains inventory of tables, chairs, furniture, linen, and other equipment for events.
- Maintains storage areas for event inventories.
- Promotes a positive team atmosphere with all staff.
- Ensures all areas of the clubhouse are “open” and presentable prior to event start times.
- Understanding and execution of different aspects listed in the Banquet Events Order.
- Completes special projects as requested by the Assistant Banquet Manager or Banquets Director.
Education and Experience:
- Must be able to work on your feet for 8 hours a day and can lift or carry up to 85 lbs.
- Previous catering or banquet experience at private club or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of audio-visual technology and set-up for some room events.
- Ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions during the course of events.
- Possess a strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn from different departments within the club.
- Attention to detail and proactive initiative required.
- Must have the ability to speak and read English reasonably well.
