About the Role
Bottoms Up Restaurant & Pub is looking to add an experienced, friendly, and professional hostess to our existing team. We are looking for someone who can make a strong first impression, greet guests with confidence, manage the flow of the dining room, and help create a smooth guest experience from the moment guests walk in.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with a warm, professional, and welcoming attitude
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and seating flow during service
- Communicate clearly with guests, servers, bartenders, managers, and support staff
- Monitor table availability and help balance server sections fairly and efficiently
- Answer phone calls, provide restaurant information, and assist with guest questions
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, entrance area, menus, and waiting area
- Handle busy shifts with composure, urgency, and professionalism
What We're Looking For
- Restaurant host/hostess or customer service experience preferred
- Friendly, polished, and professional presence with strong communication skills
- Ability to stay organized and calm in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Comfortable greeting guests, answering phones, and managing guest flow
- Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and able to take direction well
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions during busy service
- Weekend and evening availability required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic every shift
