About the Role
Bottoms Up Restaurant & Pub is looking to add an experienced, reliable Food Runner / Expeditor to our existing team. We are looking for someone who can move quickly, communicate clearly, and help keep service running smoothly in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role is critical to making sure food leaves the kitchen correctly, efficiently, and with the level of quality our guests expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Run food from the kitchen to the dining room quickly, accurately, and professionally
- Expedite orders by reading tickets, checking plates, and helping ensure food is complete before leaving the kitchen
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, and managers during service
- Understand table numbers, seat positions, timing, and proper food presentation
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness, organization, and readiness in the expo area
- Support servers and managers by helping keep service moving during busy shifts
- Handle high-volume service with urgency, composure, and attention to detail
- Represent the restaurant professionally when delivering food to guests
What We're Looking For
- Restaurant experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with both FOH and BOH teams
- Organized, focused, and able to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to read tickets accurately and follow direction during busy service
- Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and willing to help wherever needed
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic every shift
- Weekend and evening availability required
- Ability to stand, move quickly, and work efficiently throughout the shift
