About Botanist & Barrel

Botanist & Barrel is a small, family owned cidery and winery in Cedar Grove, North Carolina. We make naturally fermented cider and wine from locally grown fruit while supporting regional agriculture and creating a welcoming place for people to gather.

We are looking for an outgoing and dependable weekend team member who loves talking with people, sharing great food and drink, and creating a memorable guest experience.

About the Role

You will represent Botanist & Barrel in our Cedar Grove tasting room, at farmers markets, and at festivals and special events. The role includes serving guests, selling wine and cider, setting up market booths, processing purchases, and helping people connect with our products and story.

This position begins as part time, but full time work may be available for the right candidate. A full time team member would serve as a true jack of all trades and could help with production, farming, harvesting, deliveries, bottling, events, markets, and other winery operations.

Job Duties

• Work Friday, Saturday or Sunday tasting room shifts, farmers markets, festivals, and special events

• Greet guests and create a warm, welcoming experience

• Serve cider, wine, tasting flights, cider cocktails, and food

• Educate guests about our products, farming practices, and natural fermentation

• Set up and break down farmers market and festival booths

• Load, unload, and organize market products and equipment

• Process sales accurately using our point of sale system

• Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized tasting room or market booth

• Restock products and monitor inventory during shifts

• Help pack and prepare products for markets and events

• Follow all alcohol service and food safety procedures

• Represent Botanist & Barrel with professionalism, hospitality, and enthusiasm

Skills and Requirements

• Enthusiastic, friendly, and outgoing personality

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Comfortable engaging with a wide range of guests

• Reliable and available to work weekends

• Saturdays and Sundays are required

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

• Comfortable standing for extended periods and working outdoors

• Reliable transportation to Cedar Grove and assigned market locations

• Previous tasting room, restaurant, farmers market, retail, or brand ambassador experience is helpful

• Wine, cider, or hospitality experience is preferred but not required

Schedule

This is a part time weekend position. Saturdays are required. Additional shifts may be available on Fridays, Sundays, and during special events.
