About Botanist & Barrel
Botanist & Barrel is a small, family owned cidery and winery in Cedar Grove, North Carolina. We make naturally fermented cider and wine from locally grown fruit while supporting regional agriculture and creating a welcoming place for people to gather.
We are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and comfortable splitting their time between the road and the winery.
About the Role
This position combines wholesale deliveries with hands on winery work. You will drive a company vehicle to make local and statewide deliveries, wash and prepare kegs, pull orders, and help keep our warehouse and production spaces organized.
The work is physical, practical, and important. We need someone who can work independently, stay organized, and represent Botanist & Barrel professionally when visiting our wholesale customers.
This position begins as part time, but full time work may be available for the right candidate. A full time team member would serve as a true jack of all trades and could help with production, bottling, farming, harvesting, deliveries, markets, festivals, and other winery operations.
Job Duties
- Drive a company vehicle to make local and statewide wholesale deliveries
- Load and unload cases, kegs, equipment, and supplies
- Wash, sanitize, inspect, and prepare kegs for filling
- Pull, pack, and double check wholesale orders
- Organize inventory and maintain the warehouse
- Keep delivery vehicles, keg washing areas, and workspaces clean
- Assist with bottling, canning, labeling, pressing, and cellar work as needed
- Help with events and farm work when needed
- Communicate delivery issues, inventory needs, and customer requests to the team
- Represent Botanist & Barrel professionally and enthusiastically
Skills and Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Comfortable driving long distances throughout North Carolina
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to repeatedly lift up to 65 pounds
- Comfortable working in a physical production environment
- Able to follow cleaning and sanitation procedures carefully
- Flexible and willing to help wherever needed
- Winery, brewery, warehouse, delivery, or production experience is helpful but not required
Schedule
This is a part time position with weekday delivery and winery shifts. The exact schedule may vary based on delivery routes and production needs.
