Salary: $100,000 Based on Licensure and Experience

Boston Rehabilitation Center is a premier behavioral health facility dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate, individualized care. Our Boston facility is a 40-bed detox and residential treatment center, providing 24/7 support for individuals recovering from substance use disorders.
Position Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Substance Abuse Counselors to provide therapeutic support and guidance to clients in our 40-bed detox and residential program. Counselors play a critical role in facilitating recovery by leading individual and group therapy sessions, developing treatment plans, and ensuring clients receive the emotional and psychological support they need.
This is a full-time, onsite position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, and coping strategies
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support as needed
- Facilitate psychoeducational groups on topics such as addiction, mental health, and life skills
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Work closely with medical and case management teams to coordinate comprehensive care
- Educate clients and their families on the recovery process and available community resources
- Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while fostering a safe and supportive treatment environment
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of Bachelors degree required.
- Full licensure as a Substance Abuse Counselor (LMHC, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent) in Massachusetts is required
- Experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health settings is required
- Strong knowledge of addiction treatment models, counseling techniques, and relapse prevention strategies
- Ability to facilitate both individual and group counseling effectively
- Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to work the assigned schedule
